BOARD OF DIRECTORS
ZHAO, JUNXIN (John) PRESIDENT
Mr. Zhao is a Christian educator with more than thirty years of teaching and educational leadership experience. After graduating from Qufu Normal University in 1993, he began his career as a teacher in public secondary schools in China. In May 1997, he came to faith in Jesus Christ under the ministry of Pastor Zhiyong Wang, an event that profoundly shaped both his life and his understanding of education. In 1998, Mr. Zhao left public education and joined a poverty-relief ministry, serving alongside the Skelley family from the United States. Through this work, he gained a deeper appreciation for the transformative power of education and its vital role in strengthening individuals, families, and communities. Since 2000, John has devoted himself to Christ-centered education, focusing on the spiritual, academic, and character development of young people. Over the years, he has founded and led several private Christian schools and educational initiatives. From 2014 to 2025, the schools under his leadership helped nearly one hundred students receive a Christian education, rebuild confidence, strengthen academic foundations, and continue their studies at Christian colleges and universities in the United States. In 2023, John founded True Love Academy in Florida, continuing his commitment to providing biblically grounded education that integrates faith, character, and academic excellence. His educational philosophy is rooted in the conviction that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and that education should equip students to know God, pursue truth, develop Christlike character, and faithfully serve others. In addition to his work in Christian education, John is also a songwriter, lyricist, and author. Through his YouTube channel, @JohnZhaoTrueLove, he has published a collection of original Christian music designed to encourage believers and proclaim biblical truth. His worship songs include *Light of Wisdom*, *Obey the Lord’s Commandments*, *The Savior Is Born*, and *Honor Your Parents*. He has also written a number of Christian songs, including *Reverence*, *Mission*, *The Light of Love*, *Where Is Heaven?*, and *A Childlike Heart*, among others. In addition, he is the author of *Obey the Lord’s Commandments: Raising Children in the Lord*, a Christian parenting book that emphasizes biblical principles, godly character, spiritual formation, and the importance of raising children according to God's Word. Through both music and writing, he seeks to glorify God, strengthen the faith of believers, and share the hope of the Gospel with people around the world. John and his wife, Hanna Wang, have served together in Christian education for many years. Hanna, formerly a public-school teacher, has extensive experience in student mentoring and counseling, helping young people develop healthy emotional, spiritual, and personal growth through a Christian worldview. Together they have been blessed with two daughters, both of whom have pursued advanced studies in Christian higher education. Their family’s commitment to faith, learning, and service continues to shape their vision for educating the next generation. As Founder and President of the Board, John provides spiritual and strategic leadership for the school. His prayer is that every student entrusted to the academy will grow in godliness, virtue, wisdom, and excellence, becoming a faithful follower of Christ and a servant leader who impacts the world for the glory of God.
LIU, KECAI (Peter) VICE PRESIDENT
Mr. Liu is an engineer, Christian educator, and longtime ministry partner who has faithfully served in Christian education for many years. He and Mr. Zhao were classmates before becoming co-laborers in ministry and education. After hearing the gospel through the witness of Mr. Zhao, Mr. Liu came to faith in Jesus Christ and developed a deep commitment to Christian service. Motivated by a desire to see young people know God and grow in wisdom and character, he joined Mr. Zhao in educational ministry and school development. Even before 2005, Mr. Liu was actively involved in helping establish and support Christian educational programs, sharing a common vision of integrating biblical truth with academic excellence. Over the years, Mr. Liu has worked alongside Mr. Zhao through various stages of Christian school development, contributing his time, wisdom, and practical skills to support students, teachers, and families. His engineering background provides valuable analytical and organizational strengths, while his love for the Lord and heart for discipleship continue to guide his service. As Vice President of the Board, Mr. Liu works closely with school leadership to advance the mission and long-term vision of True Love Academy. Drawing upon decades of friendship, ministry partnership, and educational experience, he helps provide strategic guidance and faithful stewardship in support of the school's Christ-centered mission. His desire is to see students grow in wisdom, character, academic excellence, and a vibrant faith in Christ, preparing them to serve God faithfully in their families, churches, communities, and future vocations.
WANG, JINYU (Hanna) VICE PRESIDENT
Mrs. Wang is an educator and student mentor with many years of experience in teaching, counseling, and Christian education. She began her career as a teacher in public schools in China, where she developed a deep passion for nurturing the academic, emotional, and personal growth of young people. Since joining Christian education ministry in 1998, Hanna has devoted herself to supporting students and families through biblical encouragement, personal mentoring, and character development. Throughout her years of service in Christian schools, she has worked closely with students from diverse backgrounds, helping them build confidence, develop healthy relationships, overcome personal challenges, and grow in faith. As a co-laborer in Christian education alongside her husband, Junxin (John) Zhao, Hanna has played an important role in the development of the schools and educational ministries they have served together. Her compassionate heart, patient guidance, and commitment to student well-being have positively impacted the lives of many young people and their families. As a member of the Board of Directors, Hanna brings valuable insight into student development, family engagement, and Christian character formation. She is committed to supporting the mission of True Love Academy and helping students grow in wisdom, faith, integrity, and a lifelong love for God and learning.
WANG, ZHIYONG
Rev. Zhiyong Wang is a pastor, theologian, author, and Christian educator who has devoted decades to theological scholarship, pastoral ministry, and Christian leadership development. He holds degrees from China University of Political Science and Law, Peking University, and Calvin Theological Seminary, and has also served as a visiting scholar at the University of Oxford. After leaving a successful legal career in 1997 to enter full-time Christian ministry, Rev. Wang became a leading voice in promoting historic Reformed theology among Chinese-speaking Christians. He founded the China Reformation Website in 2003 and later established Yahweh Covenant College in Hong Kong and Yahweh Institute in the United States, institutions dedicated to theological education, biblical scholarship, and leadership training. Rev. Wang is the author and translator of numerous books and theological resources, including *The Puritan Covenant*, *The Reformed and Puritan Spirit in China*, *A Covenant Worldview for Contemporary Christianity*, *Christian Civilization*, and annotated editions of the *Westminster Confession of Faith*, *Heidelberg Catechism*, *Belgic Confession*, and *Canons of Dort*. His writings have significantly influenced Christian leaders, educators, and churches throughout the Chinese-speaking world. His connection with True Love Academy spans many years. In 1997, Rev. Wang played an important role in leading Mr. Zhao to faith in Jesus Christ and has continued to provide spiritual mentorship, theological guidance, and encouragement throughout the school's development. As a member of the Board of Directors, he helps ensure that the academy remains firmly grounded in biblical truth and faithful to its Christ-centered mission. Rev. Wang's desire is to see young people grow in wisdom, character, academic excellence, and a lifelong commitment to serving Christ and advancing His Kingdom.
MRS. SKELLEY
Mrs. Skelley is a devoted Christian servant, mentor, and longtime supporter of Christian education. Together with her husband, she has faithfully served families, children, and communities through missions, discipleship, and educational ministry for many years. Since 1998, Mrs. Skelley has maintained a close partnership with John Zhao and Hanna Wang in various educational and outreach ministries. Through her encouragement, generosity, and Christ-centered example, she has played an important role in supporting educational initiatives that seek to nurture both the minds and hearts of young people. Mrs. Skelley has a special passion for helping students and families grow in faith, character, and practical Christian living. Her life reflects a commitment to biblical values, servant leadership, and the belief that every child is created in the image of God and should be given opportunities to develop his or her God-given potential. As a member of the Board of Directors, Mrs. Skelley brings wisdom, encouragement, and a global perspective shaped by years of ministry experience. She is committed to supporting the mission of True Love Academy and helping cultivate a Christ-centered learning community where students are encouraged to pursue truth, grow in character, and faithfully serve God and others.
